Questions carers ask us
Do I need experience to become a carer?
No — we hire for heart and train for skill. Healthcare assistant roles are open to people new to care; you'll complete paid induction training (manual handling, first aid, infection control and more) and shadow an experienced carer before working alone.
What is a DBS check and do I need one?
An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is a criminal record check required for all care roles in England. We arrange it as part of your onboarding. A conviction is not an automatic bar — each case is considered individually.
What documents do I need to apply?
Passport, driving licence (full or provisional), proof of your National Insurance number, two passport photos, two proofs of address from the last 3 months, details of two references, and right-to-work documents if applicable. You upload them all during the online application.
Can I choose my hours?
Yes — full-time, part-time, mornings, evenings or weekends. Tell us your availability in the application and we build a rota around it.
Where will I work?
Wherever suits you — we support clients in every London borough, and we cluster your visits near where you live so less of your day is spent travelling.
How long does the application take?
